The same report confirms that smartphone penetration has surpassed 50% in Canada, and is on track to hit 60% by the end of 2012.
MMA Study: Mobile Should Be 7% of Total Spend According to data unveiled at the Mobile Marketing Association's CEO & CMO Summit, mobile ads should account for approximately seven percent of budgets. This is much larger than the one percent that is currently being spent in the space. The study was conducted by ROI firm Marketing Evolution, who projected that mobile’s share of the media mix will be "at least 10 percent" by 2016.
